DID YOU KNOW?…

Identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the United States. It affects as many as one out of 10 U.S. consumers and costs businesses and individuals billions of dollars every year. In fact, more than 20 people become victims of identity theft every minute of every day in the United States alone!

FACTS ABOUT ID THEFT

As stated earlier, identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the United States, and the most feared. Here are some facts you should know:

  • Identity theft affects one in 20 households, costs billions of dollars every year to businesses and, on average, takes hundreds of hours for a victim to regain pre-theft status.
  • 1 in 10 American consumers have already been victims of identity theft.
  • Over 50% of all identity theft is the result of the taking of a physical document, such as a credit application or account statement, which is often done via the Internet, mailbox, trash, or theft of non-public personal information.
  • Over 20 people become victims of identity theft every minute of every day in the United States.
  • 41% of victims who did not have Identity Theft Protection are still dealing with the issue more than 2 years after discovering it.
  • Thieves often target the very young or the elderly or the recently deceased.
  • Average fraud amount per victim was $6,400 in 2013. On average, victims incur between $800 – $1,400 in expenses related to restoring their identity. Average victim spends over 330 hours trying to reverse the damage.
  • There are six types of Identity Theft:
    • New Account Fraud
    • Account Takeover Fraud
    • Criminal Identity Theft
    • Medical Identity Theft
    • Identity Cloning
    • Commercial Identity Theft
  • Additional adverse effects of ID theft (without protection services) include: financial problems; high interest rates; denied employment; harassment from collection agencies; unauthorized use of medical benefits; low credit score; denied credit, tuition, or loans; higher insurance premiums; and even arrest.

WHAT IS THE  PrivacyMaxx  FAMILY IDENTITY THEFT PROTECTION PLAN?

When most people think of ID theft, they think of stolen credit card numbers.

But ID theft is exactly that–the theft of an identity. Stolen identities can and are used to fraudulently obtain medical services, commit crimes, acquire fraudulent documentation, and obtain credit for which repayment will never be made.

PrivacyMaxx’s proprietary Identity Early Warning System monitors billions of public data sources to protect against ID theft and its potentially life-alerting effects for victims.

Customized exclusively for TripleClicks customers, the PrivacyMaxx Family Identity Theft Protection plan provides up to THREE FULL YEARS of coverage for their entire family, including a Proactive Monitoring System that will alert them to potential issues before an ID theft occurs, a fully-managed Family Identity Recovery and 12-month post-monitoring service, and a generous $25,000 expense reimbursement policy…all for a one-time payment of up to $179!

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:

  • Coverage for your customer and his/her immediate family (spouse or domestic partner, children at the same address up to age 25, IRS dependents sharing the same address regardless of age, or nursing home/hospice, or deceased 12 months or less).
  • Internet Monitoring Service (IM): a real-time, PROACTIVE alerting and monitoring service.
  • Fully-managed ID recovery service.
  • Coverage for ID theft with no family fraud or other exclusions.
  • Unlimited restorations.
  • No deductible.
  • Service will work to restore credit and identity to pre-theft status.
  • A FULL 12 months of post-recovery monitoring.
  • Toll-free victim hotline.
  • A Personal Recovery Advocate working on the customer’s behalf to contact agencies and institutions, submit fraud alerts, complete forms and perform follow-ups.
  • Reimbursement (up to $25,000) for theft-related lost wages, notary and certified mail charges, fees to re-apply for denied loans, attorney fees incurred, and other related costs.

Becoming a victim of identity fraud is a frightening, frustrating experience. It can happen to anyone at any time. The identity theft experts available through a PrivacyMaxx Family Identity Theft Protection plan for TripleClicks can help customers during this difficult time.

WHO IS IT FOR:

Consumers aren’t the only people (consumer id theft) needing protection from ID theft. In fact, one could argue PrivacyMaxx protection is even MORE suited for the small business owner.

After all, the local business owner or E-Commerce Associate may have even MORE to lose from ID theft–and MORE to GAIN from a PrivacyMaxx subscription.

Day-to-day business practices (multiple credit cards, frequent online purchases, and other routine transactions, etc.) can leave a business owner vulnerable and at an increased risk for ID theft and a security breach that could ruin their entire business!

Additional potential benefits for business owners:

  • Risk mitigation for their business and assets
  • Protection for their good name and reputation
  • Maximizing the “trust” value for their customers
  • Peace of mind for their livelihood and investments

NOTE: The PrivacyMaxx plan is available only to U.S. residents.

In the event of ID theft,  customers will get direct access to a PrivacyMaxx professional recovery advocate, who will manage the entire recovery process for their family.

In addition to handling the follow-up, paperwork, and phone calls required to recover your customer’s name and credit history, the PrivacyMaxx advocate will document, dispute and reverse all fraudulent transactions for all known types of identity theft.

As an added layer of protection, customers  also get 12 months of Internet Monitoring follow-up once they are back to pre-theft status.

HOW IT WORKS

The PrivacyMaxx plan provides proactive Internet Monitoring, fully-managed Identity Recovery service in the event an identity theft incident is detected and a $25,000 Expense Reimbursement benefit.

Internet Monitoring Service (IM): The Internet Monitoring Service proactively scans for sensitive personal information commonly sold and traded on black market internet sites and chat rooms.

This service includes monitoring for credit and debit card numbers, bank account numbers, social security numbers, driver’s license numbers, telephone numbers, email addresses, and other sensitive information.

Proactive services reduce risks, costs and headaches related to financial fraud and identity theft. Covered members receive a monthly status email or text providing an update of their monitoring service.

In addition, the system sends real-time alerts via email or text to covered members whenever there is activity. This real-time alerting and monitoring service provides a pro-active solution that is the perfect addition to recovery services.

  1. very interesting article on this new identity theft protection program, sounds awesome coverage and identify theft is becoming more and more serious all the time with more people being robbed of their identity and funds.

The only thing I am wondering is how does the payment plan work for this protection, can you make reasonable payments for the low income people or have to pay the large sum all at once?

    • Dear friend,

As outlined in the review, payments are customized into a one time per year.

You can start with the one year plan for $69, which is considerably low for a 1 year plan, in my opinion), considering the value they offer and upgrade during any time of the active period if you choose to.

      Best regards,

  2. Sounds like the perfect insurance plan against identity theft. You never know when you will need it but if it happens to you you’d be glad you took it up. I like the fact that the protection covers my family members too.

But why is it only available to U.S. residents?

    • I know Regina.

This is something we can’t afford to overlook.

I believe it has to do with their headquarters and their ability to monitor such attempts worldwide. They need to expand first or, at least, solidify connections with foreign agencies, before they go global with this. In any case, I will let you know all on here when I get an update.

      Best regards,

  3. I was not aware that there were six different types of identity theft. I never even thought about the additional adverse effects of ID theft. It is a huge deal. People should be informed about the consequences and the impact that an ID theft can have. I am a small business owner and the PrivacyMaxx Family Identity Theft Protection sounds like a perfect fit for me. Thank you.

    • Hi Juan,

Indeed this is a matter everyone should be aware of and take any necessary precautions especially in their online activities where the problem is more common. If your business is within the United States, a protection plan like the PrivacyMaxx would be ideal to protect your good business name and engender more trust.

      Regards,

  4. This Privacymaxx anti-identity theft plan seems indeed like a good investment. I have heard instances of cyber and identity theft before but I never assumed the vast proportions it might take, given the responses in this website.

Thank you for opening my eyes. This is indeed something that we should not overlook. I also agree that we can’t adopt a ” what are the chances” attitude. This is not about losing a few bucks over a scam. This is our identity we are talking about, our life!

    • Hi Alen. You couldn’t be more accurate in your response. This is something we should all consider. After all, who can REALLY protect us over our online or offline activities if we don’t take some action ourselves? It’s the decisions that we take upstream that matter, not the ones after the fall.

      Regards,

  5. Identity Theft is a common problem everywhere. I, personally don’t fear it as I never pay using my credit card, and prefer to pay in cash only.

    (Personal Story:
But I do remember my grand-mother telling me that when she went clothes shopping one day, she gave her credit card to the cashier, and he took the card swiper and put it under his desk where he had a computer, and he stole her credit card number to spend for 100$ online. But, at the end, my grand mother was able to fix the problem with the credit card company at least since she never buys online.)

I currently live in Canada, so since it’s only available in the US I can’t buy it, but if I could I would. It’s like insurance, you buy it thinking you’ll never need it but when something bad happens, you’re happy that you had paid for it at the beginning. Thank you for this review, as it reminds me to be careful when travelling, especially since I want to go to south-east Asia, there could be identity theft over there.

    • Hi Olivier. Thank you for dropping by. Your grandma’s story is one of the many instances showcasing the severity of the problem. It is true that credit card theft is one of the most common problems and, at some extent, you might be able to have some control over it. It all depends on the case.

Identity theft however, goes well beyond a common theft for cash or spending online. Did you know that they can actually achieve complete identity take over from sign up forms? You know those ordinary application forms that most of us spend a great deal of time to fill in (online and offline) to open an account with a company or service for whatever reason. If you happen to get scammed and they get your details, the wild goose chase starts.

Most of us think: “What are the odds of this happening to me?” And yet here we are discussing a different incident every few days in this website alone. I believe we can never be too safe unless, maybe, severe constitutional measures are held.

At least, for those who are eligible for now, a service like the PrivacyMaxx can offer some peace of mind and monitor a likely situation.

      Regards,

  6. I am always afraid that someone will try to steal my identity in this modern day and age. There are so many things that can go wrong, and the article is quite right – it is not just credit card fraud to be wary of. Anything which can give myself and my family the peace of mind that our money and our identities are protected must be worth considering and investing in. Thanks for sharing this with me!

    • Hi Molly. I am glad you found the article useful. What I have come to understand after witnessing so many incidents of id theft is that peace of mind is invaluable. And, quite frankly, something that’s not worth comprimising due to not taking proper action or neglect.

So many people think it wouldn’t happen to them and yet it takes only the tiniest bit of information nowdays and then all hell breaks loose. Hope the PrivacyMaxx plan lives up to your expectations.

      Regards,

  7. I have read in an another article as well that identity theft is one of the crimes that Americans most fear of. It even is feared more than terrorism.

It really is an awful thing to come across. I hope no one will witness it individually. In this new age of technology balance has been completely reversed.

Privacy Maxx seems great for consumers and owners of small businesses.

    • Hi Tyler,

It is true. And, honestly, who can blame them? Could you imagine that something as little as a receipt can cost you your identity in the wrong hands? And that’s just one tiny bit of the proportions this probem can assume.

At least with a service like the PrivacyMaxx you can have a certain control over your online activities and transactions.

      Regards,

  8. This is interesting. I recently received a letter from the OPM (Office of Personnel Management) stating that my federal government records may have been compromised as a result of a data breach. At the end of the letter was an offer to sign up for a US government sponsored ID theft prevention program. It’s interesting how rapidly these ID theft prevention companies have grown. Since the revelation about the NSA collecting data about its own citizens, ID theft programs have gained significantly in popularity. So, there are a bunch of thieves that have our information, and their are lots of ID theft prevention companies that have our information. Hopefully, the power to control information will not ultimately corrupt those who are honestly trying to protect us. Good article. Thanks for the valuable information.

    • Thank you for stopping by. I am glad you found the information here useful.Yours is one of the many cases I encounter everyday online and offline. It adds up to the collective picture that this problem grows with ridiculous measure.

In the end, it won’t really matter who has the information, because, honestly, one way or another we are are recorded somewhere from the day of our birth. If thieves want to target you they will and, unfortunately, they have the means to do it.

Are those id theft prevention companies gonna get corrupt by the power of information? Who can really know. The same could be asked for our states and governments who already have our information and are electively appointed to protect us.

The thing with an anti id theft program like the PrivacyMaxx is you can have proffessionals at your disposal to track and prevent unusual activity and save you the wild goose chase. I wouldn’t dare to imagine what is like not being able to prove that you are who you are for the simplest of our daily activities or transactions.

      Merry Christmas,

  9. Just wanted to say found this information very useful. Identity theft is pretty big deal today and scammers can get your information I was skeptical about getting identity theft, but now after reading definitely will be getting identity protection. Will recommend to friends and family also. Thanks for the info!

    • Thank you. I honestly couldn’t agree more with your statement. I hope the privacymaxx plan helps you and yours to maintain some peace of mind with the vast proportions of the id theft and what not.

      Regards,

  10. Recently I was looking for apartments and I found a great deal, but it turned out to be “too good to be true.” I didn’t end up making any payments, but the scammers have a copy of my ID 🙁
I’m really concerned about identity theft now. Will PrivacyMaxx provide any protection, given that I have already given a copy of my ID?

    • Hello,

I am terribly sorry for that event my friend. Yet another case that proves the severity of the problem. You can notify them of this upon receipt so they can monitor the situation closely. Or…any future attempt.

You will be alerted immediately of any unusual activity via text or email.Being a recent victim myself, it is best to act proactively.

Hope this helps regain your peace of mind.

      Regards,

  11. George –

OMG! Those stats are crazy, I had no idea that it was that bad! I can see why so many people are interested in a program like the one that you are reviewing here. There is no way that my family could recover from something like that and it would take a long time if we did! I didn’t know that people used other people’s medical benefits! That is something I was completely unaware of as being a problem. Does that happen to people only with State Coverage or Private Coverage as well? It seems like nothing is safe anymore. It makes me understand more and more why people want to live “off the grid”! Thanks for your post, you really opened my eyes!

    • Hi and Thank you for stopping by.

I am glad my review on the privacymaxx identity theft protection has helped you gained a better understanding on this global issue. In answer to your question, it doesn’t really matter to them if people are with State or Private coverage. As long as they get a hold of their identity, they can assume all kinds of benefits in a broader spectrum.

It can be terrifying. At least with a plan like that, you can have some peace of mind for 3 full years and a 25k benefit.

      Warmest Regards,

  12. Hi George. Very grateful to have found your site! Certainly got a lot out of visiting! Identity theft is such a huge, and very common issue! People need online protection more than ever!
As I’m really concerned about finding the right program amongst the thousands of products available, it was really beneficial to read up on PrivacyMaxx. These guys definitely have a lot to offer!
Your review was a huge help! Thanks very much!
    Jamie.

    • Thank you Jamie.

Identity theft is a global problem that cannot be ignored. Coming from a guy that just recently had his Paypal account breached, I really hope the PrivacyMaxx Family Identity Theft Protection Plan lives up to your expectations.

      Warmest Regards,

  13. I wish I had known about this plan about 4 years ago when I was a victim of Identity theft. It caused a huge amount of problems for me and my family. If i had known there was a way to avoid it I would have taken it. I guess people think it will never be them! I live in the UK, does this protection extend to the UK? Or do you know someone else you could recommend for me for the UK?

    • Hi Ruth,

I am teribbly sorry about this mess you went through. It is indicative of the vast proportions this problem can assume and as your case successfully points out, it can happen to anyone. You just don’t know how or when. Since the privacymaxx is currently available to U.S. residents only, you could take a look at Equifax which is a UK based protection program.

      Hope this helps.

  14. Fantastic review on the amazing PrivacyMaxx product 🙂

With so much identity theft, we all have to be extra cautious online and off. Luckily, I have never been a victim, but I have had different accounts hacked in the past, which I was very annoyed about.

I will definitely look in your PrivacyMaxx recommendation because we should never be caught off-guard!

    Neil

    • Hello Neil,

Thank you for stopping by. Cases like yours are exactly why I decided to do a review on the PrivacyMaxx anti-Id theft plan. At times like this where most of our activities are held online, everyone should be informed about the dangers and do something about it.

I firmly believe that prevention is KEY. After all, our identity is is our most precious asset and should be treated as such. As you successfully pointed out, we can’t afford to be caught off-guard!

I hope you find the program to your best interest and get some peace of mind.

      Warmest Regards,

  15. Hi, I stumbled upon this site, which is amazing I must say! Such a useful and quality content and site layout overall .

I really hope it will be available for people outside the United States as well because this is a global problem and can happen to anyone these days. I also love that you have taken the time to explain all the different options offered at the Tripleclicks Store and the Pricebenders Auctions. Great Stuff!

  17. Well it’s certainly getting more and more worrying these days – we had an official come around the other day and advise us on the type of trash we throw out. Who would have known that letter heads could lead to identity theft. This looks like a really useful bit of kit – anything that removes this sort of threat is a good buy in my book!

    • Hi Chris,

A friend of mine had an incident with a typical transaction receipt. Who would have known, indeed! With such a problem on the rise, we need to be extra cautious and alert, as it can happen to anyone. With the Privacymaxx anti-ID theft and restoration service we can, at least, put our minds at ease for 3 FULL Years.

      Best Regards,

  18. Hi George,
That was a very informative post on identity theft. It’s a problem in every country unfortunately. It’s too bad that PrivacyMaxx isn’t offered outside of the United States, but there are similar programs offered in other countries. There are scammers everywhere. It’s sad that we must consider protection of identity. I think that most people are unaware of how prevalent it is. Thanks for bringing it to light.
    Shawn

    • Hi Shawn,

Thank you so much for stopping by. It’s the hard cold reality and, unfortunately, it’s a problem that’s only going to scale up. It calls for proper education and precaution to protect our most valuable asset: Our Identity.

      Best Regards,

  19. You have some great information explaining all about the identity theft issues that are happening and what can be done about it.
I was doing great with checking it all out until I got down to the one and only con, only available in the US. Hopefully there will be some systems put in place for other countries for the rest of us.

As for the system you have written about here for the US good to know something is being done about identity theft and hopefully the rest of us are not to far behind for protection.

    • Hi Travis,

Thank you for dropping by. I am glad you found usefulness in my post. I am positive that the PrivacyMaxx anti-identity theft plan will become available for everyone in the world pretty soon.

Identity theft is something you can’t turn a blind eye on and, therefore, I believe identity theft restoration services will be in constant demand with the technology advances and what not.

      Best Regards,

  20. Dear George,

Identity Theft is the same as hacking in my opinion. By reading the Statistics at the beginning was very informative since I was not aware that 1 in 10 people in America are affected by it every 20 minutes per day. That number is huge. Would you say that there is a better alternative to using PrivacyMaxx that wouldn’t be this pricey if someone was to select for a more affordable price?

I know in some Anti-Virus Software, there is some Identity Theft Protection feature, but would you recommend it?

Thanks so much for answering my questions. 🙂

Wishing you all the best with your online success above and beyond the horizon,

    ~Angel

    • Hello Angel,

The numbers are frighteningly huge and clearly show that Identity theft is a global problem on the rise, not just The United States.

I am aware of such features in anti-virus software but, unfortunately, they are somewhat limited to online shopping and such. Identity theft goes well beyond hacking and stealing your credit card deets. The criminals nowdays are banking on complete identity take over that would make them eligible for various equity, travel, insurance, health and many more personal benefits.

The PrivacyMaxx service has the experience and man power to protect and restore your idenity in the unfortunate event of an attack and offer a $25k coverage. All that, through a Full 3 Year plan. If you break it down, it would be only $5.52 per month or about 18 cents a day.

      I hope this helps.

      Warmest Regards,

  21. Hi George,
This is a really thorough article here. Great job with that! I’ve always said jokingly due to being broke all the time, that if my identity was ever stolen they’d have to put the offender on suicide watch. 🙂
Seriously though I’m aware of the importance behind a product such as this, and also would advise anyone who takes their privacy seriously to use some common sense in your personal life and your online life.
Looks like these days the responsibility is ours to maintain our own identity, so with the aid of PrivacyMaxx, it makes our job that much easier.

    • Hello Brian,

Thank you for stopping by. The average loss associated with each case of identity theft is approximately $3,500 and the average amount of time each victim expends recovering from the consequences of identity theft is twenty-five hours according to IdentityTheft source.

Like you successfully pointed out, the responsibility to keep our identity safe falls on us, with the rapid technology advancements and what not. With a program like the PrivacyMaxx anti-identity theft plan, you can at least get some peace of mind throught your online activities and, in the unfortunate case of an attack, you receive some decent identity restoration coverage ($25k).

      Best Regards,

  22. Hi, Tyler here

I just finished reading your review of PrivacyMaxx identity theft service and it sounds like a very good program. Your review is very detailed. Anything not to like?

I live in New Zealand where i don’t believe its as prevalent.

Have you compared this product to any others?

    Cheers,

    Tyler

    • Hi Tyler,

Thank you for taking the time to read my review on PrivacyMaxx anti-identity theft and restoration service. I am sure it will soon be available worldwide, not just in the United States, as identity theft is a serious matter that can affect anyone in the world.

As per your question, the only other service I have come across so far is LifeLock but I believe the PrivacyMaxx plan offers more choice. Also a 25k reimbursement benefit. Haven’t met yet another program that can offer something like that.

      Best Regards,

  23. Hello

l did not know how identity theft work till i read your post, thanks for your information l now know what to look out for or what to be careful about.

Nowdays how can one not have identity theft protection?

Of all the six types of identity theft types you mentioned, account take over in my opinion is the worst, just wish the privacy maxx protection you mentioned was a bit cheaper but still, will sure get one.

Thanks, this is one of the most important post i have read in a very long time(my opinion)

    • Hello Roamy,

Thanks for stopping by. I am glad you found the review useful. I couldn’t agree more with you on account take over. I’ve heard and read so many instances online, as well as,in my own circles and I can honestly say full identity protection should be one of our highest priorities.

In any case, I suggest you look into the PrivacyMaxx anti theft service, because if you break it down, it is only $5.52 per month or about 18¢ a day for 3 FULL years. And in the event an identity theft is detected you are covered by a $25,000 Expense Reimbursement benefit.

      Best regards,

  24. This is actually one of the most straightforward anti ID theft services I have come across online. I checked out Lifelock in the past but I believe the PrivacyMaxx plan offers more choice and a sound reimbursement benefit you can’t really pass up. But in any case, it is our security and peace of mind as you stated. The rest is just logistics to me.

    • Hi Lea,

I agree. Numbers are of little importance when it comes to safety and, nowdays, a service like the PrivacyMaxx plan should be of our highest priorities. Hit me up in the comments section if you need any clarifications.

      Best regards,

  25. This is a great review for an identity theft protection product. As we all know identity theft lives and will continue to live among us. And this can be a great worry to some of us. So if there is a way to protect ourselves from these criminals who steal our identities, then it is a good way to go.

I will give this product a try. Thanks for sharing this info

    • Hi Fidel,

Those shared worries are exactly the reason I bring this information to the world. Hope you enjoy the PrivacyMaxx anti-ID theft service. Feel free to drop a comment again if you have questions or you need to work your way to the website.

      Best regards,

  26. I just finished reading your review of PrivacyMaxx identity theft service and it sounds like a very good program. I think everyone has had the experience of having their credit card compromised and having to shut down the account and get a new card. It sounds like this service can cover many other scenarios regarding identity theft – and protect your entire family – I’m going to check it out.

    • Hi Jeff,

Thanks for dropping by. I wish it was only as simple as credit card theft. Nowdays, they are after your Identity for all kinds of vile purposes. At least with a program like the Privacymaxx, such activities can be contained if not eliminated. If you have any questions let me know in the comments section

      Best regards,

  27. I found your price benders center website and privacy maxx review very interesting and informative. People do not realize that identity theft is huge and they have to deal with the after effect which brings along credit damage loss on funds and loss of time. Getting everything fixed is a huge undertaking and some people do not ever fully recover, unfortunately they just end up living with the damage.

    • Hi Angela,

Welcome to the Pricebenders Center. I think you have summed up my thoughts perfectly with your comment. Financial loss aside, the constant fear and horror you live with after something like that is what truly has me sitting on pins and needles. At least, with a plan like the PrivacyMaxx you can have some peace of mind.

      Best regards,

  28. I kinda like the whole idea of this…. it is great for those faced with this nightmare. And it’s great too that not only is your spouse/partner also covered but your under 25 kids too and those in rest homes. It’s a great post, very well written and informative with some really scary statistics there too…. :O

  29. Hi George,
Ten percent interest on a loan is an overly high figure but nothing compared to what you write down on identity theft, I think that is a staggering figure and unfortunately nobody can control it, but only you. Thank you for sharing this information and giving me the opportunity to think about the safety of my family, I will contact with Tripleclicks I think it is imperative that all do so.
It is by the way, very nice your page
    renan

    • Hi Renan,

You are exactly right! This falls on us, the internet users. If we don’t get any necessary precautions then we are subject to all kinds of dangers with the vast growing rate of technology. I am glad you found this review useful. Should you have any questions about the PrivacyMaxx Anti-ID theft plan or TripleClicks, feel free to leave a comment.

      Best regards,

  30. This is a great post! It’s crazy that there are so many people that will never even think about identity protection until something bad happens. At that point it’s too late.

Knowing that it’s one of the biggest crimes in America now, I will definitely look into this sort of thing more. Thanks for this page!

    • Hi Martin,

I am glad you found usefulness in my post. I couldn’t agree more with your comment. Such times call for security measures. The PrivacyMaxx Anti-ID Theft plan, applicable for 3 FULL years, is a decent choice to protect you and your family. If you have questions please let me know in the comment section.

      Best regards,

  31. Great post George! It’s horrible the amount of people out there these days who will go to the bother of stealing someone else’s identity so they can get money for themselves!

With things changing in the online world everyday and in this case obviously not in a good way at least you can cover not only yourself but your family too at a very cheap price!

I thought it was for one year but for three years and with the peace of mind it gives you it’s a bargain!

    Cheers, Stephen

    • Hi Stephen,

I know right? Unfortunately, it is NOT just for money! I have read about instances where they use the person’s identity for travel and immigration purposes. Have you heard of “phising”? They are now able to elicit personal information (via your email account). They use fake information of highly respected brands like Paypal to get you to hand it to them and then use it to whatever end.

At least, with a plan like PrivacyMaxx you can have a pillow of security for you and your family. As you said, 3 FULL years of coverage and the peace of mind, it’s a bargain alright!

  32. A very nice review of privacymaxx. I was not aware of the statistics you provided but I can say that I and my husband were part of those statistics on three separate occasions all within about 4 weeks. it was extremely frustrating to deal with and since then we have shredded anything that has our name on it which takes care of any local identity theft. Having a program like this would fill in the big gaps that still exist.
Are there any other programs out there that might be a little less expensive?
    thanks

    • Hi Debra,

Thank you for visiting the Pricebenders Center. It is very unfortunate that you had to live this experience and very indicative of the very REAL dangers all of us internet users are exposed every second. Having a program like the PrivacyMaxx allows for a pillow of security. The only other program I have heard of is LifeLock but I have not look into yet. In any case, I suggest you look into the PrivacyMaxx, because if you break it down, it is only $5.52 per month or about 18¢ a day for 3 FULL years . The main thing is you get protection for one of their greatest assets:Their identity. And in the event an identity theft is detected you are covered by a $25,000 Expense Reimbursement benefit.

      Best regards,

  33. Hi George,

I knew that being a victim of this type of crime can leave you with negative effects afterwards, but I did not realize that you can be denied employment or even get arrested, it makes it even more scary.

This sounds like a good protection plan for ID theft and you have explained it very well. It is a reasonable price for the amount of cover too, and for a 3 year period, I will have a look.

    Rob

    • Hi Robert,

I think your point is one of the millions of potential problems to arise if, God forbid, you lose your Identity to someone else. It is not just scary. It’s horrific in my book.

Hopefully, with the emergence of services like the PrivacyMaxx Anti-ID Theft plan, we can at least contain such vile activities. If you have any questions please feel free to use the comment section.

      Best regards,

  34. I didn’t even know that identity theft was one of the biggest crimes in America, since I thought it may be robberies, drugs or car thefts.

You have certainly provided some excellent insights here into identity theft, and your review of Privacy Max definitely makes this product worth investing in because it’s such a small price to pay to protect ourselves from the thieves 🙂

    Neil

    • Hi Neil,

I am glad my review helped you raise your awareness on a very serious matter that affects any internet user worldwide. The PrivacyMaxx plan is indeed a good choice to protect our most valuable asset: Our Identity.

      Best, regards,

  35. First of all, thanks for making us aware of the threats of this crime. I guess it should be on papers weekly to remind the society to be careful. What I am saying is that the more awareness the society have, the more reduction of this crime rate which can pressure those thieves.

But in today’s world, this is something that can happen to anyone without noticed as you said. All we have to do is try to be careful as the only way to manage the underlying risk.

    Tar.

    • Hi Tar,

Welcome to the Pricebenders Center. You are absolutely right. Awareness must be raised by any means to prevent and secure our assets. That was the main purpose of this article. The problem is, that technology evolves in such a rapid pace that gives way to new threats everyday. Proper prevention, along with the assistance of experts such as the people behind the PrivacyMaxx plan, can ensure some peace of mind and allow for safer online activities.

  36. Identity theft can be one of the most devastating events in a person’s life. Although I have never been a victim of such a horrendous crime, I have heard several stories of individuals who have in fact been victims and it can definitely destroy one’s life. I admire how you laid out the facts of identity theft and then provided the audience with a solution. Thanks for this great information!

    • Hey Lindsay,

Thank you for the kind words. It is such a serious matter that laying proper information about it is critical and absolutely necessary. There is nothing worse than having your own identity compromised as a result of your everyday activities. Hopefully, now we have a way to deal with the vastness of the matter. If you have any questions please let me know.

      Best regards,

  37. Great information! Thanks for putting this all together. It is very true that in this modern age we need to be on guard even more against the tricks of the criminals. I will be looking into this product. Thanks again.

    • Hi Rich,

Absolutely! Nowdays proper measures must be taken more than ever. Thank you for visiting and I hope you find the PrivacyMaxx plan to your convenience.

      Best regards,

  38. Hey George, this is all new to me. I never heard about this before today. There is great info here dude. I love the bandit stealing the card lol.

    • Hi there,

I am glad you found the information about the PrivacyMaxx plan useful. Indeed, I think the illustration is pretty indicative to the significance of ID theft nowdays.

  39. I find this very interesting, never heard of this company before. I’ve looked into LegalShield and LifeLock in the past and it seemed like LegalShield was the better option, however it’s a lot more expensive than this, mainly because there are a very wide range of additional services offered on the legal end. That said, I’m not sure what the max payout for losses are, and yours is $25k. Is 25K good? I’m wondering if you have any data about the average loss size to know if 25k is under or over the averages.

    • Hi Frank,

Thank you for visiting the Pricebenders Center.

According to IdentityTheft.info: “Each year, approximately 15 million Americans are identity theft victims with financial losses to the country totaling close to $50 billion. The average loss associated with each case of identity theft is approximately $3,500 and the average amount of time each victim expends recovering from the consequences of identity theft is twenty-five hours.”

You can find the full report HERE. As you can see 25K is very good. The only disadvantage is that for now the plan is only offered to people inside the U.S., but I am keen to believe the company will see to that shortly as it is a major global problem on the rise.

      Best regards,

  40. Well, this plan sounds very good. The only thing I don’t get is, can you subscribe to this plan after you have become a victim? Or do you have to do it before? My guess is the second one. I only ask this because at the end of your article you say that if you have become a victim you should call PrivacyMaxx and they’ll take care of everything. Anyway the price looks excellent for three year cover for the family.

    • Hey Ana,

If you subscribe after you become a victim you won’t already be in their system. It works like your standard insurance or any paid service; you can not expect to be reimbursed by the company if you are not already an active subscriber with them.

They will definitely begin the process if you are already a victim and subscribe right afterwards, but you won’t be already registered for potential reimbursement for an incident prior to active subscription. It will be more like a tracking, blocking and preventing future attempts process. Hope this gives you a clearer idea. And, yes, as you said, it is definitely worth the price for a full 3 year coverage.

      Best regards,

  41. Very informative content. As a Chinese living in Canada, I still have heard many stories that happened in China about identity theft. Since the technology has been so advanced, some thieves can even send text messages with officials’ numbers like your phone company or even the police station. And in that text message, it has a link which is connected to a hacking program which will download all the data from your phone and steal all your personal information. It would be great to have some identity protections.

    • Hi and welcome to the Pricebenders Center.

I am not surprised by the incident really. The more technology evolves, the more our identities are exposed to all kinds of danger. It can be as simple as a text message, as you successfully pointed out. All the more reason to secure ourselves and let the experts do their job.

      Best regards,

  42. Hi George,
This is a great article. So many people have been victims of identity theft and it is good to see a company like this offering protection.
As I live in Australia, it is not available to me but I will be looking to see if I can find a similar service here.
    Kerry

    • Hi Kerry,

I am sure due to the increasing demand, the PrivacyMaxx plan will become available worldwide. It is only a matter of time.

      Best regards,

  43. Hi George – wow this is really an eye opener! I’ve heard of identity theft but never really given any consideration to the actual extent of the ramifications of having your identity stolen. I have just realized that this is rather ignorant of me especially considering I spend so much time online! IS there any other software to help with this that you would recommend?

    • Hi! Welcome to the Pricebenders Center.

I am glad you found the information here useful. Identity theft is a serious matter. One that cannot be ignored as it can unleash all sorts of problems. As of now, I haven’t come across another decent plan other than the PrivacyMaxx but I’ve been meaning to, for residents outside the United States. Stick around and I will keep you posted.

      Best regards,

  44. Identity theft is definitely a huge problem. The very nature of electronics and banking being connected is a threat to the global economy and governments are just waking up to it.

Thanks for the top tips on avoiding getting caught out. I will remind my friends too.

I like the way that you have laid out the pros and cons in the argument in your article, it’s always good to see these.

    • Hi Roland,

I couldn’t agree more with your statement. In this day and age, we are subject to the mercy of the digital world and it is important that we do something about it to protect our most valuable asset: Our Identity!

I am glad you found the information here useful. Since it is such a sensitive matter, the product must be scrutinized properly for the sheer benefit of the world!

      Best regards,

  45. Does this limit the number of people being monitored? I’ve heard that children’s identities are stolen more often because we’re not checking their credit reports until they’re grown and start becoming financially able. Does this include everyone in your family, or just a single person? I’ve got kids and have been meaning to find out.

    • Hi Sarah,

Thanks for visiting. As per your question: There is full coverage for the customer and his/her immediate family (spouse or domestic partner, children at the same address up to age 25, IRS dependents sharing the same address regardless of age, or nursing home/hospice, or deceased 12 months or less).

Like you accurately pointed out, children’s identities are indeed stolen more often not just because parents aren’t checking but also because they are exposed more to social media platforms where personal information can easily be extracted via photos, blogs, fake accounts etc.

There is no way, realistically, to be checking them 24/7 but, At least with this plan you can prevent any future attempts.

      Best regards,

  46. Sound like a great tool. Your article pretty much answers any questions one might have. The only other anti-ID theft system I have heard of is LifeLock and I believe it is a monthly program. Even though the program is a single payment that is going to discourage some people. They should consider an affordable monthly payment program which would increase their revenue.

    • Hi Jerry,

Thank you for stopping by. I get your point, but I don’t think people should be discouraged because they get service and value for three whole years and if you break it down it is only $5.52 per month or about 18¢ a day. The main thing is they get protection for one of their greatest assets:Their identity. And in the event an identity theft is detected they are covered by a $25,000 Expense Reimbursement benefit.

      Best regards,

  47. Hi George,
Based on your figures I would say that this service is badly needed for everyone from all socioeconomic backgrounds- because as you said yourself it’s not just your credit card but your entire identity that they are robbing you of. It looks like an excellent service, the price is very reasonable when you think of how much debt you could find yourself in. Look at the movie Identity Thief Melissa McCarthy (the actress) was getting away with murder in that movie and I doubt it’s much different in reality except that in reality it’s just not funny.

    • Hi Brenda,

You are exactly right. I would like to take your spot on example a bit further: Microsoft has recently introduced the Wi-Fi Sense service (on Windows 10) which means their servers tap into certain personal information via your email account.

Namely, Wi-Fi Sense allows anyone you have contact with to login to your WI-FI network. The only thing anyone needs to login to your network is to be running WI-FI Sense.

If a computer on your network is connected it must have the ACCESS KEY and with the infinite number of networks how long will it take a hacker to crack that and get to something stored in your archives, cookies or simply your notes? You might say at this point, don’t store anything to a computer with internet access. Is that really a viable solution?

On another note, I know it might sound far fetched among a close circle of people but do you know EVERYONE they have in their own network?

This is where the wild goose chase starts. Keep in mind, that this is only one tiny instance. Personally, I’d rather have the pros at PrivacyMaxx work on the matter should it occur, than deal with all that.

      Best regards,

  48. Looks like a good idea. It’s like a cross between insurance and security, which means PrivacyMaxx will work hard to protect your interests as it will save them having to make payouts.
ID fraud is something that I often worry about, especially as I often purchase on line.

    • Hi,Thanks for visiting my site

Yes,indeed. PrivacyMaxx is a very useful service that combines insurance and security to protect your identity and your personal assets. It can save you a lot of trouble in today’s age of information and allow for worry-free online activities.

      Best Regards,

  49. Hey great post on privacy maxx, I have never heard of it before until today, and I believe identity theft is definitely on the rise with the increasing technological break throughs.

Seems kinda spendy to get this type of production, is it worth it if we do not have much account information on the net? How are these identity thieves accessing our information unless their hacking someone’s site with our information in it? And if they did do that, wouldn’t the site be held liable if customers started becoming victims to this crime?

Very interesting concept to cover here, but the privacy maxx seems like a legit way for some decent coverage.

    • Hi Chris,

Thanks for stopping by. As you successfully pointed out, identity theft is definitely on the rise. It can affect both the consumer and the business owner equally, due to the simple fact that they deal with multiple credit cards, frequent online purchases, and other routine transactions.

All these transactions come with receipts, paperwork, application forms that contain partial or full personal information. It is a necessary evil for legal and tax purposes. This is what the criminal minds aim for. They don’t just hack the digital form of the information, but are actively trying to get a hold of the hard copies as well.

An acquaintance of mine, had an incident because of an intact bank receipt that was found in the recycle bin. So, as you see, they don’t just go for a site’s database. Anything they can trace will do, as they now have the means to modify and forge the information to their end.

This is why an identity theft plan will be of vital importance in the days to come. The PrivacyMaxx can offer that level of security for both parties, consumer and business owner. At least for U.S. Residents at the moment.

      Best regards,

  50. It’s good to be protected from ID theft. I am shocked with the average per theft. It’s too much.
This product “PrivacyMaxx” is cheap. 199$ for three years protection is a great price. However, this can be useful for the people at risk. Others with little capital and small investment shouldn’t worry about ID theft -I think-. Others with big investments and high profits must use this product.

    • Hi Mahmood,

I get your point but, in my humble opinion, anyone’s identity can be at risk, regardless of their financial state. Just think of all the spam mail we receive in our inbox trying to elicit all kinds of personal information for forgery purposes. It can be a real mess.

The internet is a chaotic place and people begin to realize that, in this information age, you can only be too careful.

      Best regards,

  51. This is really the need of the hour. There are many predators out there, specially with the internet. We are all exposed to this kind of activity.
Thanks for your review, complete guide that is really worth including in our budget. I will have to look deeply into it and check it out if it will work for me though I am outside U.S. territory.

    • Hi Leo,

I couldn’t agree more. Having an overall identity theft protection plan like the Privacy Maxx has become indispensable for internet users around the world.

It is currently only available for U.S. residents, but they are working day and night to expand their global reach. I will keep you guys posted when the time comes. In the main time, feel free to share it with your U.S. contacts.

      Best Regards,

  52. George, thanks for your excellent Privacymaxx review. My Wife and I have experienced some weird credit occurrences. I even had my bank card information stolen and two small charges were authorized prior to my bank catching it. Thankfully the damage was minimal. I like the idea of protection for my kids as well. I am definitely going to take a closer look at Privacymaxx and see if it is right for my family. Thanks again for the review. Keep up the good work.

    • Hello William,

It is very unfortunate that you have experienced such weird credit occurences no matter the level of damage. I as well have almost fell victim to similar activities, fortunately, without any damage. But for how long?

In an age where information is shared in the speed of light and the constantly expanding technology, our personal information and assets are in more danger than ever. If you reside in the United States, I highly recommend you take this product into consideration in order to avert any future problems.

      Best Regards,

  53. You honestly can never be too careful online. Thank you for this great review of the PrivacyMaxx program. I like all of the information you provided! Thank you!

    • Hi Aleric,

Thank you for stopping by. I couldn’t agree more with your comment. The internet is a vast place where anything can occur, so, precaution measures must be taken. I hope the information helps you avoid any non-desirable online encounters.

      Best regards,

  54. Wow, that’s a really thorough review and sounds like a really great product actually! I own 2 businesses – one that I just started, so this would be a great product to get once I get some profit rolling in. Right now I can’t afford the $200 but as soon as I can, I think I just might consider this. Excellent review – thanks!

    • Hi Donna,

Thx for visiting my site. This product is proven and tested with current Tripleclicks customers BUT due to the quality and success of the product they have decided to expand the reach for ECAs and businesses! If you reside in the U.S. this would be an excellent plan for your business when you can afford it.

I suggest to bookmark the post for future use.

      Best Regards,

  55. Nice website with a tonof info. I especially like the how to bid section. I can use some of that info for my own personal use. I look forward to coming back to bid on some items of interest. I also enjoy the premise of making the buying experience a gaming format. Is there a starting point that you would recommend for a first time bidder?
